ABOUT

HOW DID IT ALL START?

Have you ever felt like you’re living life on the B Side—quiet, introspective, and maybe even unseen? That’s exactly how I felt, and it’s what inspired me to create Living on the B Side.

At the end of 2016, I woke up with a vision: to build a platform where I could not only share my love of music but also explore the deep emotional connection we all have with it. Music has always been there for me, through the highs and lows, guiding me, lifting me up, and helping me make sense of my emotions. It became my safe space, and I wanted to offer that to others.

Living on the B Side is about more than just the songs we love—it’s about using music as a tool for emotional exploration and wellbeing. It’s a place for those of us who feel deeply, who are reflective, and who sometimes struggle to find our voice in a noisy world. Here, we embrace the quiet moments, the introspective journeys, and the power that music has to guide us through life’s toughest times.

Whether it’s through the podcast, blog, or the supportive community I’m building, my mission is to help you discover how music can unlock your emotions, empower your personal growth, and help you feel more connected to yourself and others.

PS: If any part of my story resonated with you… maybe you’re also navigating your own quiet in-betweens.

I created A Quiet Jam — a free journaling guide with 3 soulful prompts and a gentle voice note — as a way to ease back into yourself through music.

You can grab it right here. I’d love to share it with you.

Melodic reflections creating change for an amazing life

MY MISSION

To connect quiet and introspective individuals who feel deeply and struggle to find their voice, sharing stories and insights on how music can help them not only express themselves but also discover and manage their emotions. As a music mindfulness guide, I provide tools and practices through my podcast and community that empower individuals to use music for personal growth, emotional balance, and resilience.

MY VISION

To inspire a global movement where quiet and introspective individuals find their voice, resilience, and emotional clarity through the hidden power of music, creating a world where they belong, are heard, and can navigate life’s toughest moments with music as their trusted companion for emotional wellbeing.

Questions I get asked a lot

I support quiet, sensitive humans — the kind of souls who often care deeply and feel deeply — to use music as a tool for greater harmony, calm, and self-understanding.
I call myself a Music Mindfulness Guide & Companion because that’s what it feels like: walking alongside someone as they rediscover how sound can help them come home to themselves.

No. I’m not a therapist or counsellor. My work focuses on music for self-reflection and emotional wellbeing, not clinical treatment.
I hold a life coaching certificate through The Coaching Masters and am currently completing my accreditation. Coaching frameworks often weave naturally into my sessions, but everything I offer is gentle, reflective, and self-led — not directive or therapeutic.

My sessions are often a gentle first step into self-reflection and personal growth. Through music and reflective conversation, I help you notice how sound, rhythm, and lyrics can support your emotional wellbeing and understanding of yourself. I’m not a therapist or counsellor, and my sessions aren’t designed to address deeper mental health concerns — instead, they offer a quiet, reflective space to reconnect with yourself and start noticing what matters to you.

My work is for introverted, thoughtful humans who feel emotionally drained, overwhelmed, or out of sync — especially those who crave space to reconnect with themselves.
You don’t need to be musical. You just need to be curious about how music can support your emotional world.

Each one-on-one session is a calm, conversational space.
We explore how you currently use music, what you need or long for from it, and how it might help you navigate your emotions, energy, or creative rhythm.
Through gentle questions and reflection, we discover practical ways for you to work with music — that might mean creating personal playlists, using music for energy management, or simply learning to listen differently.

Most people leave feeling lighter, more self-aware, and better equipped to use music as an anchor in their daily life. It’s not about fixing yourself — it’s about listening differently, both to music and to yourself.

Absolutely. Many of my clients simply love music as a listener — and that’s all you need. This work isn’t about skill or performance. It’s about connection, presence, and gentle exploration.

What a Session Looks Like

A session is a calm, conversational space — nothing formal or rushed. We simply sit down together (cuppa in hand if that’s your thing) and explore your relationship with music.

Before we meet, you’ll receive a short pre-session questionnaire to help you reflect on what’s been feeling out of tune or what you’d like music to support right now. During our time together, I’ll ask reflective questions that help you dig a little deeper — into your habits, needs, and emotions around music.

Through this conversation, we’ll uncover personal, practical ways for you to bring music into your daily life more intentionally — whether that’s creating supportive playlists, using sound to manage your energy, or finding new listening rituals that restore calm and connection.

It’s a relaxed discovery process — one that helps you hear yourself more clearly, through music.
